The Kumi in Recent Years (the Kumi Lord)

While some may not remember the battles with the race known as the Kumi, having never fought any, these creatures and their creator have had an impact on my life personally. This is a recounting of the events that transpired regarding the creator of the Kumi since my awakening to consciousness in the Healer's Guild in Blade, Duchy of Therendry.

The Great Mother chose Protectors in the lands of Tyrangel , Therendry and Blackstone. There were not enough Wolven in Therendry and Blackstone to assist in the fight, so a few of other races (including surface elves and Gorbe) were selected to wear the Mother's mark in the fight against the Kumi. This was a mark on the forehead of those chosen as protectors, and each Vornae had a protector that was "assigned" to each of them.

Around the year 600, E.R., the marks simply disappeared.

About two years past this time, a representative of a Clan in Draelonde came into town, posted on the trees as an assassin, and outright threatened the life of myself and my Father, Lord Falconian of Draelonde and then patron of House Dragon (now correctly known in the Kuraianki language as Ryu), stating that he had allowed the blending of races and created drae children, so his life and my own as his offspring were deemed forfeit. At a Gather in Therendry, I was accosted in my cabin by this individual, who simply called himself Sa Alond.

Upon having said individual knock on my door in the middle of town to destroy me, I promptly slammed the door in his face after he threw insults my way. He immediately transformed into his true self and rifted into my dwelling, where my then betrothed and I were having a quiet conversation.

He claimed he could tell if my blood was pure, and explained that no eldritch construction could hold him out, so attempting to escape him was pointless. I allowed him to determine my heritage via touch. When this was over, he exclaimed that there must have been some mistake, and explained that he had come to purify a drae, but no drae was present.

He then rifted into the town circle where the other Vornae stood, and told them all they were dreadfully mistaken in thinking I was not Vornae.

At this same gather, Sa'Alond began his attempts at courting me.

Over the past seven years, Sa'Alond has explained to me his purpose, and the nature of himself as well as the Great Mother. Otosan (or the Great Father as we know him now) created a race that he believed would strengthen his children, and he believe that with the fighting amongst ourselves the strong would rise up and create the perfect Vornae; strong, fierce, and proud. He and the Great Mother cannot exist without the other; the two are two sides of the same coin.

The philosophy he maintains is one of Vornae supremacy; while this is the case, he has no issue with  purifying non Vornae by means of genetics. He is well versed in the creating of races/beings from raw materials, and can alter everything down to the smallest particles of being.

In recent years a Prophecy has surfaced about a new race, made by Spider and Dragon, that would possibly destroy the Vornae as we know ourselves to be, as well as quite possibly the rest of Tyrra. As a result, Otosan and Mother have tried to reunite their children to help combat this race that has already come into existence and threatens our very being, Vornae and surface dweller alike.

Regarding any additional specifics, I would be happy to explain should anyone have further questions. As a Scholar of Magics, I have my own theories as to the origins of the Great Mother and the Great Father, and continue to seek out more sources of information about this topic.
