The Skills and Interests of Kierath Ranamor

My thirst for knowledge is insatiable, and I can often be found traveling to distant libraries and archives to research matters of importance. I have a keen interest in matters of Dark Elven lore and culture, as well as the lore and legend of Dragons and Faerie. In the past year, I also began pouring over tomes of heraldic symbology in hopes of compiling a comprehensive reference of Avalonian heraldry.

As might be suggested by my quest for knowledge, I have developed quite the talent for locating and compiling obscure information for use by others, and as a result have built a significant library of information of my own in a relatively short time.

I have trained for a number of years with blades, with my preferred fighting style utilizing a matched set of long and short swords with deadly precision. I have also been known to fight with paired daggers upon occasion, as well as with both paired short swords and short sword and spear. I also see the wisdom in knowing how to utilize a shield in some situations, and have undertaken the training necessary to use one somewhat effectively with my longsword.

In addition to my martial skills, I am a skilled alchemist thanks to the instruction I received from my former teacher Beryllian. I am also quite proficient in the use and disabling of traps, and have authored several articles on the subject.

More recently I have taken up the study of magic, both practical and theoretical. After learning to cast both Earth and Celestial magics from memory, I chose some time ago to focus my studies on Celestial magics for the practical application of my knowledge. Over the past few months my training has advanced and I have become an accomplished formalist.
